Two 3D music videos with a painterly look for Van Lupo. Lonely, slightly surreal characters move through offices, streets, and dreamlike spaces that mirror the bittersweet songs, blending small story moments with performance.
I pushed 3D toward a soft, brushy style between animation and illustration. Simple faces keep the emotion in the music, while textured, shallow focus backgrounds make everything feel close and personal. Movements stay small and human, with slow, floating cameras that support the dreamy, sad mood. The result is a handmade-feeling world that still plays like a finished music video.
